Australians Troops leave Same and return to Base in Dili

After more than a month in Same since the failed attempt to arrest Major Alfredo in Same on the 4th March 20007 were 5 Timorese man died, Australian troops return to their barracks in Dili.
On Monday 23rd April 07, last Australian troops were seen by the locals driving their armed cars back to Dili.
The population rejoiced with the event of the army leaving and greeted many of Major Alfredo's man that suddenly appeared from the bush near by. Major Alfredo is to be back in Same sometimes this week.
Alfredo's Lawyers had few meetings with with the representatives of Government and International forces to find a peaceful solution to this war
The church has been mediating and domiciliary arrest is one of Major Alfredo's request and conditions are being drafted by the government and his lawyers and a final draft of conditions may be available in days for both sides to discuss.
